Community Event: R. W. Bro. Michael Stephenson - Charity BBQ
Join The Ontario District Masons Project Compassionate Care on June 7, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, for a family-friendly community BBQ supporting the four hospices serving Durham Region and Northumberland, including Hospice Whitby – Roger Anderson House.
The afternoon will feature great food, community connection, and fundraising activities in support of compassionate end-of-life care. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in special fundraising initiatives, including a chance to win a handmade queen-size quilt valued at more than $850, along with a lighthearted fundraiser benefiting wig creation for cancer patients.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to assist organizers with food planning. Tickets can be purchased through local lodges or by e-transfer to iandmck@hotmail.com. Please include your name along with the number of adult and child tickets requested. Tickets will be available for pickup at reception on the day of the event.
Community Event: Creators & Classics 2026
Taking place on June 20, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Victoria Fields, the 8th Annual Creators & Classics is one of Durham Region’s most exciting automotive and community events of the summer.
Creators & Classics is more than just a car show. It’s a celebration of cars, creativity, and community, bringing together an impressive lineup of classic cars, custom builds, trucks, and modern performance vehicles from across Ontario. Whether you’re a dedicated car enthusiast, a photographer, or simply looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the day, guests can explore local vendors, connect with community partners, and take in live music, food trucks, and craft beer — all while experiencing some incredible automotive builds.
We’re grateful to be part of this year’s event, with proceeds from the 50/50 draw supporting Hospice Whitby – Roger Anderson House.

Community Event: Fabulous Finucanes 6th Annual Lawn Party
Join the Fabulous Finucanes on June 20, 2026 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at 488 Cunningham Ave. in Oshawa for their 6th Annual Lawn Party in support of Hospice Whitby – Roger Anderson House.
This fun community gathering brings together friends, neighbours, and music lovers for an afternoon filled with great 70’s and 80’s hits, great food, and summer fun. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, and an afternoon outdoors with the Fabulous Finucanes.
A free will offering is appreciated during the event, with 100% of proceeds supporting Hospice Whitby- Roger Anderson House.
